Teen Witch (1989)

The high school featured in Teen Witch (1989) is Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale, California.  The school was featured in the TV series Growing Pains and in a few episodes of Falcon Crest.  It was also used for the movies Gangster’s Boy (1938), The Unguarded Moment (1956), and Because They’re Young (1960).

From Hoover High, it isn’t too difficult to find the location of one of the movie’s most memorable scenes: the “Top That” rap-off!  The scene was shot very close to the school, near the corner of Virginia Avenue and Olmsted Drive.

Charmed - Size Matters

Madame Serena’s house was filmed in the Sanders house, located on a block of historic homes on Carroll Avenue.  The house is probably better known for its appearance in Michael Jackson’s Thriller video.  The house was also featured in a season four episode of the TV show Charmed titled Size Matters.  It makes sense that the house would turn up on Charmed, as the primary home used throughout the series is located only two houses down.

Randa's House

Louise’s house is located in the Wilshire area of Los Angeles.  The house was built in 1921 and has supposedly been featured in a few other films (I’m not sure which).  Randa’s house is located directly across the street, just like in the film.
