The owner of the house while The Nesting was filmed filed a million dollar lawsuit against the filmmakers, claiming that they completely destroyed the house. She even claimed that crew members urinated on the floor throughout the house. I couldn't find any information about the outcome of the lawsuit though.

Since the movie was filmed, the house has received a pretty bright paint job and restoration. One of the previous owners (Carl Carmer) claimed the house was haunted. The house can be seen in Across The Universe (2007) (IMDB) during the scenes with Bono.
