The location can also be spotted near the beginning of a season five episode of The Wonder Years titled The Lake. It is where Kevin first spots his summer crush, Cara. The location was also used in a follow-up episode titled Back To The Lake.

The Pinehurst Halfway House is a place called Rancho Rosita. The house, barn, and cabin are all located on the property. The house has been used for other productions. It was supposedly used for scenes in Chinatown (1974).
