Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark

The made-for-TV movie Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark (1973) was filmed in the Newhall Mansion, formerly known as the Piru Mansion in Piru, California.  Built in 1890, the historic home has quite a resume in film and television.  However, in February of 1981 it burnt to the ground.  The owners were able to rebuild the home the way it was, which was finished in December of 1983.

  1. The mansion reminds me a little of the Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA. My guess would be that it's been used in more movies and TV shows than any other mansion in history.
