Scream (1996) continued

A few more Scream (1996) locations...

Tatum and Dewey's House
Tatum and Dewey's House

Tatum and Dewey’s house is located just across the street from the house used in Hitchcock’s Shadow Of A Doubt (1943) and down the street from the Mableton Mansion, which was used in the movie Pollyanna (1960).  The made for TV remake of Shadow Of A Doubt (1991) was filmed in a house on the same block as the Scream house.  During the filming of the original Shadow Of A Doubt, the Scream house belonged to Judge Donald Geary, who became good friends with Hitchcock.  Hitchcock spent a lot of his spare time during filming relaxing on the same porch where Sidney and Tatum are seen in the movie.

Bradley Video

The next location is an interior only.  Bradley Video in Santa Rosa was used as the video store where Randy works.  Bradley Video closed a few years back and is now a Chinese food restaurant.

Sonoma Community Center

Woodsboro High School was filmed at the Sonoma Community Center.  They had originally planned to use Santa Rosa High School, but the school rejected them based on the film’s content.  They had to scramble to find a new location, as they were already in production when they lost the school.  If you watch in the end credits, it reads "No thanks whatsoever to the Santa Rosa School District Governing Board".

Healdsburg Plaza

The Fountain scene was filmed in the Healdsburg Plaza, a park located in the Healdsburg town square.  The fountain seen in the film is still there, though it is usually boarded up.

  2. Good find, Jack!

I had a link on the other Scream page with a few interior pics of Stu's house, but the link seems to be dead now.
