Butler Mansion, the abandoned estate / asylum with a very dark history, is actually a historic home called Elmwood, but is also referred to as "The Cliffs" and the Beekman House.  It is located on West Shore Rd in Mill Neck, overlooking Oyster Bay Harbor.  The house was built in 1836 and expanded in the early 1900s.  On April 3rd, 1975, just a few years after Silent Night, Bloody Night was filmed there, it was entered into the National Register Of Historic Places.

    The Cliffs was never known as Elmwood.

      Elmwood is the OFFICIAL name of the house.

    Any chance you did one on the original I Spit on Your Grave? It all looks familiar, just can't pin the exact spot.
