The opening scene was filmed at the West Middletown Cemetery in Hopewell Township. In the film, the wrought-iron gate they drive though shows the name as the Evans City Cemetery, an homage to the original film which was shot in the actual Evans City Cemetery in Evans City, Pennsylvania.

About 4 miles east down Pennsylvania Route 844 from the cemetery is the house used in film. The property still looks the same as it did in the film, although recent pictures show that the house has been painted yellow.
