The Last Victim (1975) was the first movie for both director Jim Sotos (Sweet Sixteen, Hot Moves) and actress Tanya Roberts (Tourist Trap, Charlie's Angels, That '70s Show). It also features a brief appearance by a pre-Carrie Nancy Allen in one of her first roles. The movie was recently released on blu-ray, however it is a severely edited version missing over ten minutes of footage.

A majority of the movie was filmed in Verona, New Jersey with some additional filming in Staten Island. The primary location is the home of Nancy Ulman (Tanya Roberts) and her family. It is located on Birdseye Glen in suburban Verona, about 2 miles from the since demolished Essex Mountain Sanatorium where Doom Asylum (1988) was filmed. The house appears almost entirely unchanged from its onscreen appearance nearly 45 years ago!

At one point in the film, Nancy Ulman drops her kids off at the Verona Public Library. The Verona Municipal Building can be seen in the background, as well as a bronze statue honoring Verona's World War I veterans located in the grassy park across the street. This little square is known as the Verona Civic Center.
