Fatal Games (1984) was filmed at Aviation High School in Redondo Beach, California.  The school was in operation from 1957 - 1982.  The school was closed by the time Fatal Games was filmed there, and several of the main campus buildings were demolished in 1982.  The theater, gymnasium, and track and field were maintained after the school was closed and are still there today.  The grounds of the former school is now known as Aviation Park.

The school's mascot was the falcon, which is clearly painted on the wall alongside of the pool.  Instead of covering it up, the movie's fictitious school was named the Falcon Academy Of Athletics.

Since most of Aviation High School's main campus had been demolished, a separate school was required for exterior shots.  The exterior used was University High School, located about 15 miles north.
