Mother’s Day (1980) was filmed in New Jersey at the same
time as Friday The 13th (1980). The
two films were shot in very close proximity to each other.
The lake in the movie is Fairview Lake in Stillwater, New
Jersey. The movie was shot near a local
YMCA camp. The house was located
somewhere in this area, but it is unknown whether or not the house is still
standing.

At the time this movie was shot, the store was still operational but no longer owned by the Robbins family. My grandfather, Donald Robbins, was still serving as postmaster at the time.

DeleteHi im looking for a copy of this movie thats my grandparents store in middleville nj can ya help?
ReplyDeleteThere was a blu-ray released a few years ago, but it looks like it might be out of print.
DeleteAt one time, Troma (the company who released the movie) had made their entire catalogue available for free on YouTube. It might still be available on there?
I'm looking for a copy "Mother's Day" 1980 which had a scene where the "Uncle Floyd" Show could be heard in the background ("Mr.Tony", "Go-wanna, go-wanna,go-wanna away from a my store!")."Uncle" Floyd Vivino was supposed to have a part in the movie but unfortunately it was cut-out, which was a shame because Vivino was plugging for the movie months before it was finally released!
